socks are a nod to the Old-school tattoos of the 1980s.
These socks Instructions are written for the Magic Loop method
of working in the round, with a toe-up construction and short row heel.
The pattern contains a video tutorial in french (youtube subtitles for
other languages) that cover specific techniques used in the pattern
(Judy’s magic cast on).
Size : Small, (Medium, Large) : 8 - 81/2, (9, 91/2)’’ 20-22 (23, 24) cm
foot circumference. The foot length will be easily adjusted.
Gauge : 32 sts/46 rows, to 10 cm measured over st st using n° 2,5 mm
(UK n°13) (US 2) needles
Yarn : The parisian knits, BFL, 1 skein color Ficelle (100 g), 2 mini skeins
color Rouge and Terra cotta (20 g each) and a waste of green and white
yarn. Hand-dyed yarns.
Tools : n° 2,5 mm (UK n°13) (US 2) circular needles, stitch markers, 1 stitch
holder, a 10 cm long zipper, a tapestry needle
Skills require : following a chart, intarsia, sewing a zipper.
Techniques : Judy’s magic cast on, short rows, bind off using a stretchy
method, changing colors, ribbing, working flat and in the round, slipping
stitches, picking up stitches.
